Rasmus Lauridsen

Chief Scientist

Dr. Rasmus Lauridsen is a Freshwater Ecologist at Six Rivers, dedicated to enhancing our understanding of river ecosystems. He holds a PhD focused on stream food webs, investigating the effects of introducing new resources and increasing predator populations on ecological balance. Recently, Rasmus has explored how habitat influences the survival and life history choices of salmon and trout, utilizing advanced tagging technologies.

In his role at Six Rivers, he establishes research capacity, develops and executes research projects, and ensures that conservation efforts are grounded in solid evidence. Rasmus also creates metrics to quantify the impact of these efforts, refining and optimizing conservation strategies.
